About
This solo piece, blending theater and dance, features the performer Chi Long (of Vietnamese origin, born in Australia, and an immigrant to Canada) in a work of autofiction where real-life, fictional, and borrowed stories intertwine. Created by choreographer Élodie Lombardo in collaboration with Chi, it explores the mechanisms of identity construction and transmission, invisible memories, our composite identities, and our relationships to territories—both physical and imaginary.
Using the intimate to better transcend it, the piece questions Quebec identity in the face of migration issues and invites us to reconsider each person in their singularity and universality, while reflecting on society through our individual stories and collective traumas.
Despite the intensity of the narrative, the piece reflects Chi: fresh, surprising, and unsettling. A master of her craft, she delivers a powerful solo performance, blending subtle humor with sensitivity.
