About
The world’s largest Cuban music ensemble, THE BUENA VISTA ORCHESTRA—also known as The Buena Vista Social Orchestra and Orquesta Buena Vista—is coming to Québec City and Gatineau this fall. Composed of musicians from The Buena Vista Social Club, AfroCuban All Stars, as well as the bands of Celia Cruz, Omara Portuondo, Chucho Valdés, and Willie Colón, the orchestra is led by virtuoso violinist Rolando Morejón Reyes. It also brings together numerous international talents, including trumpeter Antonio Perigo, pianist Helder Rojas, and trombonist Yosmel Garceran, a Latin Grammy Award nominee and internationally renowned artist.
To date, the Buena Vista Orchestra and its related projects have toured the globe and been acclaimed worldwide, selling millions of tickets and albums and featuring in various documentaries, theatrical productions, and other media, making it the best-selling and most famous Cuban musical project in history!
