About
The Accès Asie Festival is honored to welcome Soleil Launière, a transdisciplinary artist originally from Mashteuiatsh and based in Tiöhtià:ke Mooniyang (Montreal). She will open the evening with a short performance.
On stage, “Plied Strings & Queer Movements” by Ran Wang and Komodo will bring together the guzheng and queer street dance (whacking, voguing), creating a dialogue between reinterpreted Chinese traditions and contemporary expressions around the concepts of identity and cultural heritage.
Starting at 7 p.m., the mood shifts: the party begins! Two DJs, NGL Flounce from Transpacific Express (city pop, R&B, neo K-pop, East and Southeast Asian house) and DJ Rhythm & Hues (Persian psych, Chinese disco, Japanese jazz and pop, Asian funk, and Bollywood rarities) will take to the turntables to keep us dancing until 10 p.m.
The activity takes place in all weather conditions, unless safety is compromised
